Automatically Improving Existing Algorithms: First Steps to Automatically Designing Algorithms
It has long been a dream of computer scientists to build algorithms automatically.
However, this is more difficult than it first appeared with only small programs successfully being with
already existing software and attempt to improve it by making small changes to it.
We will look at a number of different domains.
1. scheduling and routing of aircraft ground movements.
2. automated bug fixing overnight
3. predicting cardiovascular disease
